Twitching #NaNoWriMo

Happy New Year, Writers!

I’ll be the first to say that I don’t know what I’m doing here, but I’m doing my best to write every day and broadcast my attempt to write this year’s NaNoWriMo novel this year online with twitch.

You can see me here:

For the most part, I’m broadcasting each day from nine in the morning until I get my words in for the day. My setup isn’t perfect. I’m capturing my screen on my iPad through the air with Reflector 3, which is either perfectly stable or crashes like hell left and right. I think I had to re-attach to the screen five times today or something like that, I’m not sure. The other day, nothing, it was perfect, so I don’t know what the difference is there.

So far very few, if any are showing up, though I know it can’t be riveting television to watch me write a book. My wife is doing this along with me this year, which is a treat. I think she might have caught the writing but, I’m not sure, but it’s fun to have a writing partner. I’m thinking about running a group for NaNo writers next year because where I live is about 200 miles away from any other active groups. I’m not sure I have the bandwidth for that. I’ll think about it.

Today I’m playing catch up because in a weak moment yesterday (and succumbing to nerve pain) I spent most of the day playing Two Point Hospital. I seem to have picked the busiest day I could have for this because this house is bustling.

If you’re interested in keeping up with any word count I’ve logged so far you can hit the NaNoWriMo site to see that.
